“Today we reveal the reality that is behind visible things, thus expressing the belief that the visible world is merely an isolated case in relation to the universe”. (Paul Klee, 1920)

Henry Pucknell is an artist based in Cambridgeshire who works across mediums. His work deals with modern human labour and how the mind processes and deals with the resulting feeling of anxiety and dread.

He imagines that as with computer code, thoughts can be broken down into sterile strings of 0’s and 1’s and thus a machine like narrow language of expression is utilised.

Through an obsessive process Internal vulnerability is allowed to haunt the physical world, as a frantic, chaotic, self-destructive and yet ultimately functional mass or cloud.
